IPM Piston Pump

  1. Will not lose its prime over a period of time as all ball checks are immersed in the material at the bottom of the drum.
  2. Pumping action is at pump base, hence, full positive feed of materials
  3. Higher viscosity fluids can be pumped.

Diaphragm Pump

  1. Will lose its prime over a period of time even if an additional ball check is installed at pump base.
  2. Pumping action takes place above the material. Suction required and have to work through 3 ball checks if additional ball check is installed at pump base.
  3. Can only pump lower viscosity fluids.
